Wonder what it’s like to be a student at Southwestern? Located just north of Austin, the “live music capital of the world” and one of the most vibrant areas of opportunity for college graduates, Southwestern invites you to visit the first institution of higher education in Texas!

Get the student experience by sitting in on classes with our dedicated and accessible professors or meet with them individually during their office hours; engaging directly with our students; enjoying a delicious lunch; and going on a campus tour. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the admission and financial aid process as well as our student resources and services. Please see a full schedule below:

9:00 a.m.        Registration

9:30 a.m.        Welcome with the Dean of Admission

10:00 a.m.      Class visits, open office hours, campus tour (students)

                       Admission session, campus tour (guests)

11:00 a.m.      Class visits, open office hours, campus tour (students)

                       Financial Aid session, campus tour (guests)

12:00 p.m.      Lunch with faculty and alumni presentation

1:00 p.m.        Student panel, campus tour (students)

                       Student Resources and Services panel, campus tour (guests)

2:00 p.m.        Experiential Learning Open House

If you are interested in seeing what a typical night is like at Southwestern, please consider spending the night with a  current student on Sunday before the program. More information about the overnight option will be included in your Pirate Preview confirmation email.

Students who are interested in submitting a Studio Art portfolio are welcome to sign up for a portfolio review here.
