Southwestern University’s Sarofim School of Fine Arts’ Music Department presents William Fedkenheuer to begin the 2017-2018 Sarofim Music Series.

Fedkenheuer, a violinist in the Miró Quartet, is a versatile artist with international performances as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. He has toured the United States and abroad performing in countries such as Rome and Taipei. Fedkenheuer received his Bachelor of Music from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music under the tutelage of Kathleen Winker and continued his graduated studies with Miriam Fried at Indiana University with influential summers at Ravinia’s Stean Music Institute and the Tanglewood Music Center.  From 2000 to 2006, William was a member of the Borromeo String Quarter, but most recently served as the first violinist of the Fry Street Quartet. He is currently a member of the Miró Quartet based in Austin, TX. William performs on a bow by Charles Espey and a violin by Peter and Wendy Moes.
