Sarofim School of Fine Arts’ Music Department is proud to present the Southwestern University Wind Ensemble and Orchestra.
The SU Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, comprised of nearly 70 musicians combined, will present a free joint concert on Saturday, Nov. 14th at 7:00 PM in the Alma Thomas Theater. Senior Kelsey Debner ’16 and Michael Martinez ’15 will perform as concerto soloists. Senior Mattie Kotzur ’16 will perform as a student conductor. The ensembles will perform the music of Beethoven, Barber, Bennett, Reed, Mozart, Zdechlik, Larsson, Handel, and Shostakovich. This concert will present the culminating work done in this semester’s Wind Ensemble and Orchestra courses.
