You love sports or being physically active. Maybe you’re a student-athlete.  Chances are you’ve been engaged in sports and fitness for a long time. Join us for a series of intimate conversations with alumni and other professionals who work in a variety of sports-related careers. Get valuable advice and make connections. Come to any or all of the conversations that interest you. Bring your lunch, if you like.  This session features Aaron Caro-Mata, PT (Sports-Certified) and SU alum Lyndsey Resnik ’13.

Aaron Caro-Mata is a masters-prepared Physical Therapist, who graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2008. He also possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas State University. Aaron earned his Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) designation in June 2013. He enjoys working with athletes of all levels, from recreational leagues to competitive teams. He believes sports teach the importance for commitment, sacrifice, teamwork and determination. All of these attributes make a good athlete and teach lessons that carry over to life outside of sports. In addition to his diverse clinical skills, Aaron is a certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner. Aaron considers himself an educator of his patients first and foremost. He believes that the most important aspect of his role as a health care professional is to empower patients by providing the tools they need to improve their quality of life.

Lyndsey Resnik graduated from Southwestern in 2013 with a major in kinesiology. She also played soccer at SU. After working as an intern at Texas Physical Therapy while a student, she now works there full-time as a PT technician. She’s also applying to PT school.
