Dave Fendrick was promoted to the position of Round Rock Express President following the 2010 season. He has been a member of the Express front office since day one, serving as vice president and general manager from 2005 to appointment as president.

A 35-year veteran of professional baseball, Fendrick began his baseball career as general manager of the Gastonia Rangers in the Class-A Western Carolinas League in 1974. The following season he moved to the Greenwood Braves in the same capacity for one season before moving to the Savannah Braves in the Double-A Southern League for three seasons. As general manager in Greenwood and again in Savannah, Fendrick was selected as “Executive of the Year” for the 1975 and 1977 campaigns, respectively.

In 1979, Fendrick was appointed director of group sales for the Texas Rangers. During his 18-year tenure with the Rangers, he served as director of promotions, director of corporate marketing and director of corporate relations. Fendrick was involved in the Rangers transition from Arlington Stadium to The Ballpark in Arlington and served as hospitality coordinator for the 1995 Major League All-Star Game hosted by the Rangers.

He left the Rangers in 1997 to become Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M., before accepting the position as assistant general manager of the Express in April 1999. He has enjoyed many accomplishments with the Express, including directing the 2001 Double-A All-Star Game that drew a record crowd of 12,046 at The Dell Diamond.

Fendrick is a 1971 graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in physical education. He completed work on his master’s degree in sports administration at Ohio University in 1973.

Dave Seiler works as Associate Director of the Center for Academic Success at Southwestern University, where he advises many student athletes –  in addition to other students – on succeeding in the classroom, not just on the field. Before coming to SU in 2002, Seiler served as Assistant Athletic Director for Academics at Southwest Texas State University, and an academic advisor for athletes at Rice and University of Houston.

Prior to his career in academia, Seiler played professional baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies after playing for the Texas Longhorn baseball team.

Seiler graduated with his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Houston.
