Literature
INDEXES | REFERENCE WORKS | WEB LINKS | PERIODICALS
This page is intended to introduce a few select resources,
both on the Web and in the Smith Library Center print
collection, that are particularly useful for the
study of French language, literature, and culture.
- Start your research early. You
may have to use Interlibrary Services,
so allow time for interlibrary
loan requests to be processed.
- Consider getting a TexShare card,
available by request at the Circulation
Desk, so that you can directly borrow
materials from other participating
libraries.

PERIODICALS
To find citations or online full-text
for articles in periodicals onyour
topic, try the resources listed above
under Indexes. To locate the journal articles
you want, follow these steps:
Once you have searched your topic
in the databases or indexes above,
you will have a list of citations.
A citation gives you all the information
you need to actually look up the article:
the title of the article, author, name
of the journal, volume, issue, pages
and date. Many of our databases also
include links to the full text of articles
cited.
Search the library's Voyager catalog to
determine whether the library owns
the periodical you need, and where
in the library the periodical is located.
Always check our Online Journals as
well, to see if the library has the
article you need online.
If Smith Library Center does not have
the journal in any format, submit an Interlibrary
Loan Request. Allow extra time for
your article to be delivered.
