| Camcorder with Tripod |
MiniDV and tapeless HD camcordersare available. They can be used to record video and audio in classrooms and elsewhere on campus. A small tripod, power supply, and one battery are included with each camcorder. The camcorder user must furnish a blank tape for use with a MiniDV camcorder.AV Services does not recharge the batteries so if you need to use batteries please plan for enough time to charge them. Camcorders may be powered from the wall rather than using the battery. Camcorders must be checked out from the library Circulation Desk. Audiovisual Services does not provide operators for camcorders. Please see the Video Production page if your videotaping will require an operator. Video tapes may be edited at Audiovisual Services. Please see the Video Production page for more information. |

| Overhead Projector |
Virtually all Southwestern classrooms are equipped with an overhead projector and projection screen for the presentation of transparencies. Most classroom overhead projectors have a spare lamp switch that enables the user to change to a secondary lamp should the primary lamp burn out. Spare lamp switches may be located on the front, side, or bottom of the projector as indicated by a label on the projector. Please call (512) 863-1666 to report burned out bulbs.

All classrooms have a screen installed. Some other places on campus do as well. 60”, 70” and 96” tripod screens are available($15-$25 for non-Southwestern). A 7.5’x10’ and a 10.5’x14’ fastfold screen, capable of front or rear projection are available as well ($50 for non-Southwestern).
