Anthropological
Index Online
Produced by the Royal Anthropological Institute,
this citation database indexes the content in anthropology
journals held in the British Museum (Museum of Mankind).
The collection is worldwide, covers all branches
of anthropology and contains citations from 1957
to the present.
ARTstor
The ARTstor image database is a searchable collection of downloadable
high quality digital images for education and scholarship. The
database documents artistic and historical traditions across
many time periods and cultures. ARTstor is designed for researchers,
teachers and students. Users can download individual images
or use the ARTstor Offline Image Viewer to build a presentation
using ARTstor images, arrange and caption the images, and deliver

HAPI
Online
Online version of the Hispanic American Periodicals
Index, the principal index for over 400 key journals
relating to Hispanics in the United States, Central
and South America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Among
the many subjects included are geography, archaeology,
anthropology, ethnography, folklore, religion, art,
literature, drama, and film. Indexes journals published
throughout the Western world from 1970-present. For community only.*
ICPSR
Direct
University faculty, students, and staff may download
social science research data sets from the ICPSR
(Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social
Research) website. Data includes General Social Survey
data, election data, census data, world and European
values surveys, criminal justice data, substance
abuse/mental health data, education data, aging data,
health/medical care data, and more.

JSTOR
JSTOR is an electronic archive of scholarly journals
from the humanities, social sciences and the natural
sciences. The list of titles is small (100+), but
each one is essential or primary titles for field.
The JSTOR database is unique because the complete
backfiles of core scholarly journals (excluding
the most recent five years) have been digitized,
starting with the first issues, many of which begin
back to the 1800s. Users can browse the complete
table of contents for every volume and issue, or
search for words or phrases in the full text of
the article, author and abstracts. JSTOR reproduces
the full journal articles on screen as they appear
in the printed paper version. Graphs, photographs,

Annual Review of Anthropology, 1972-present; continues
Biennial Review of Anthropology, 1959-1971. Contains
topics of current interest and recent publications
in anthropology. Review articles are written by

Electronic counterpart available through JSTOR, an electronic archive

An online journal service with access to 200 or more
peer-reviewed scientific and social sciences journals,
all published by Academic Press. Beginning with the
1996 issues, users can browse the complete table
of contents for every volume and issue, or search
these seven specific fields: subject, abstract, affiliation,
author, date, keywords and article title. ScienceDirect
reproduces the full journal articles on screen as
they appear in the printed paper version. Requires
Adobe Acrobat software.

Citations with abstracts to articles on anthropology
and other social sciences. Includes selected full
text articles.

Indexes over 400 periodicals. The body of the index
consists of author and subject entries in the fields
of anthropology, sociology, psychology, and related
subjects. There is a separate listing of citations
to book
reviews following the main body of the index.
SocINDEX with Full Text
The world's most comprehensive and highest quality sociology
research database. The database features more than 1,660,000
records with subject headings from a 19,300 term sociological
thesaurus designed by subject experts and expert lexicographers.
SocINDEX with Full Text contains full text for 344 "core"
coverage journals dating back to 1895, and 129 "priority"
coverage journals. This database also includes full text for
more than 700 books and monographs, and full text for 6,800
conference papers. ology, social work,
and other social sciences.

Enthnologue:
Languages of the World
The site offers an online version of the thirteenth
edition of the text, Enthnologue: Languages of the
World. The contributors have endeavored to assemble
a comprehensive list of global languages.
HLAS:
Handbook of Latin American Studies
Online
"A bibliography on Latin America consisting of works
selected and annotated by scholars. Edited by the Hispanic
Division of the Library of Congress, the multidisciplinary
Handbook alternates annually between the social sciences
and the humanities. Each year, more than 130 academics from
around the world choose over 5,000 works for inclusion in
the Handbook. Continuously published since 1935, the Handbook
offers Latin Americanists an essential guide to available

useful Internet/Web Resources. The Social Sciences
section includes anthropology Web sites selected
