List of Bewick Works at Southwestern University

The late Mrs. Herman Brown (nee Margarett Root, Southwestern, 1915, A.B.) presented the Thomas Bewick Collection to Cody Memorial Library in 1950. The collection once belonged to David Croal Thomson, an art expert and critic (1855-1930) who collected Bewick's works. Thomson also wrote The Life and Works of Thomas Bewick, Being an Account of His Career and Achievements in Art With a Notice of the Works of John Bewick and The Water-Colour Drawings of Thomas Bewick. A record of Southwestern University Library's entire Bewick collection is available on the library's online Voyager catalogue.
