ENVISIONING BUSINESS PROGRAMS IN LIBERAL ARTS WORLDS
The Southwestern University business faculty launched a two-year self study project in 2005 seeking to define their optimal contribution to this prestigious liberal arts college. The program teaches integrative thinking, critical analysis skills, and blends traditional business concepts with liberal arts pedagogy. As part of the self-study, SU's three business faculty also began asking larger questions about philosophy of business education in liberal arts worlds. SOUTHWESTERN RECEIVES GRANT TO HOST CONFERENCE ON BUSINESS AND THE LIBERAL ARTS
Southwestern University has received a $50,000 grant from the James S. Kemper Foundation to host a national conference that will focus on ways to improve the business programs offered at liberal arts colleges. The conference will be held at Southwestern University Nov. 9-10, 2006. [Read more]
