Pirate Wireless

Southwestern University is wireless EVERYWHERE! There are two wireless networks available on campus - an open SU-PUBLIC network available on the first floor of the Commons and the library, and a secure network called Pirate. The Pirate network is available in all Academic and Administration buildings and in some open spaces like the Mall. However to connect to Pirate you MUST configure your laptop - it is not automatic.

How to Get Connected

To connect to the SECURE Pirate Wireless Network you will need to adjust some settings on your laptop. The settings will only need to be done once, and then you will be able to connect to the wireless network anywhere it exists on campus. NOTE: The residential hall (Apogee) wireless network is not considered part of the Pirate network.
