Your SUeID is your digital identity at Southwestern.  It gives you access to online services and serves as your user account for all lab and classroom computers and wireless. Your SUeID forms the first part of your SU e-mail address: [your SUeID]

Account Setup

Faculty and Staff

  • All SUeIDs are created by IT.  A new employee must sign their employment contract AND the faculty/staff directory information screen must be up-to-date before IT can create the user account. The directory information screen is maintained by either Human Resources (Staff) or the Provost Office (Faculty).

  • A department chair or supervisor can request the creation of an SUeID in advance of start date, as long as the directory information screen is complete.


  • SUeIDs for students are authorized by notification from Admissions or the Center for Academic Success. ITS cannot create a student account without this notification. For questions, please call (512) 863-1401.
