GOLD & Young Alumni
What does it mean to #BeSouthwestern?
Southwestern is a unique place, with top-notch faculty, students and staff, as well as dedicated alumni who are engaged in life-changing work across the globe. Young alumni make up 26 percent of the alumni body and are very important to Southwestern’s continued success. We invite you to Be Southwestern by making a gift to support the place you love.
What is the impact of your gift to Southwestern?
Last year, 99 percent of students received scholarship support from Southwestern. Gifts from alumni to the Southwestern Fund totaled more than $690,000! That’s equivalent to 14 full tuition scholarships.
During the past fiscal year, 633 young alumni made gifts to The Southwestern Fund, totaling just over $14,000! These gifts could provide $5,000 grants to 2.8 SCOPE students for full-time summer research next summer.
Gifts to the Southwestern Fund can support all of your favorite campus activities and student organizations.
Your recurring annual gift enhances Southwestern’s alumni participation rate (the percentage of alumni who make a gift to Southwestern), which in turn influences the University’s annual rankings and helps garner support from foundations and corporations.
