Volunteer at the Local Community Garden

2100 Hutto Road, Georgetown
Last year, 607 Southwestern students logged 17,871 hours as community volunteers. Join us in our efforts to contribute “toward the well–being of humanity.” While you are here for Family Days, volunteer at Georgetown’s largest local community garden, a project of the Williamson County & Cities Health District. The Community Garden is just a short walk from campus. Choose among offerings such as working in the greenhouse, planting crops and expanding garden spaces. Space is limited.

Alumni Ring Ceremony

The official alumni ring binds Southwestern alumni with an outward symbol of the Southwestern Experience. Qualified juniors or seniors (completed 75 hours or more) must have ordered a ring from Balfour (www.balfour.com) prior to Jan. 3, or have contacted the Office of Parent Relations to have their previously–purchased ring presented to them. All are invited to attend. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception will take place in the Charles and Elizabeth Prothro Bishops Memorial Lounge located in the Red & Charline McCombs Campus Center.
