RESEARCH AREAS
Comparative Politics with a secondary concentration in East Asian Politics. Within East Asia, Professor Gaunder focuses on the domestic policy making process in Japan. In particular, she is interested and when and why politicians pass political reform and the role of political leadership in the policy making process.
