RESEARCH AREAS
Hindu devotional traditions, in particular South Indian Shaivite traditions; Tantrism; intersections of feminist and post-colonial theory with religious studies. I am currently working on a manuscript on the life and poetry of the medieval Tamil woman poet Karaikkal Ammaiyar.
