What is the GOLD Fund?
The GOLD Fund consists of all Southwestern Fund gifts from alumni who have graduated within the last decade. As with all Annual Fund gifts, GOLD Fund gifts provide for scholarships, faculty development, library acquisitions, and classroom technology.
Why should I give to the GOLD Fund?
Your gift, OF ANY SIZE, is valuable in Southwestern's measure of alumni participation. Alumni participation carries weight in the national college rankings, often serving as the only measure of alumni satisfaction. The value of your Southwestern degree depends on the continued strength of the University, which is affected by national rankings.
How much should I give?
SU knows it is hard for recent graduateswho are paying back loans, establishing careers, and starting familiesto give back to their alma mater. Any amount you give is significant!
Those young alumni who are capable are encouraged to give at the leadership level. By doing so, they become members of the GOLD Fund President's Council.
If your employer offers matching gift funds you can double or even triple the amount you give to the GOLD Fund by simply sending your company's matching gift form to SU.
When should I give?
Every year! The Southwestern Fund will always need gifts to sustain the distinctive educational programs available to SU students. One of the most important things you can do as an alumna or alumnus is make a GOLD Fund gift every year, faithfully and early.
