Delaine Fedson

Harp

Harpist Delaine Fedson currently performs with the Dallas Opera, and also appears with the Austin, San Antonio, Waco and Ft. Worth Symphonies. She also teaches at the University of Texas at Austin, where she recently founded the University of Texas Harp Project, a pedagogy and preparatory program for young students and new teachers. Prior to her UT and Southwestern appointments, she taught at Texas A & M, St. Edwards and Baylor Universities. A registered Suzuki Harp Teacher Trainer, Delaine has taught at workshops, festivals and conferences throughout the U.S., Canada and Italy, and has maintained a private harp studio in Austin, TX, since 1986. Delaine's students include past winners of the American Harp Society National Competition and many active professional performers and teachers. Delaine is one of the authors of the American String Teacher (ASTA) publication, "A Harp in the School," and has several published harp ensemble arrangements and recordings available through Lyon & Healy West.
