Portfolio Requirements:
The portfolio should have 15-20 examples of your most recent work. For studio art this would, when possible, include both two-dimensional and three-dimensional work in any medium and approximately five drawings. 35 mm color slides and digital photos of original work saved to a CD are acceptable. Slides and digital images should be numbered and labeled as follows: your name, title of piece, medium, dimensions, and the date the work was completed. Fill out the portfolio slide sheet (provided with the application materials) and submit it with the portfolio. Slides should be submitted in a plastic slide file sheet. The quality of the portfolio presentation is important.
Eligibility Requirements: Candidates must apply for admission to Southwestern University separately. Admission to Southwestern University must be granted in order to receive an award. However, admission status is not normally determined until after the portfolio deadline. A merit scholarship offer is void as of May 1, 2009 if you have already accepted financial aid from another college or university.
