The exhibit Culinary Cultures: A Ceramics Perspective explores topics associated with food from 19 nationally recognized contemporary ceramicists. These artists are exploring such themes as slow food, domesticity, utility, comfort, cultural identity, separation and connection, fragility and resiliency, structural space, and a myriad of connections between fine art and object. -
On Oct. 1, 2011, Professor Thomas Howe took his entire Architecture I studio to visit eight houses on the annual Homes Tour sponsored by the Austin chapter of the American Institute of Architects. -
An exhibit that featured work of SU architecture alumni was featured in the Fine Arts Gallery in November of 2007. -
On November 5, 2011, Career Services hosted a panel of History, Art History, English, Philosophy, and Religion alumni, who discussed their interesting careers since graduation. -
Dr. Laura Mitchell (University of California-Irvine) gave the 2011 History Colloquium lecture – titled “Watercolors and World History: Art in the Service of Empire” – on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 4:30 p.m., in Olin 110. -
Professor Varner’s 2011 figure drawing class contributed its talents to help raise funds for the Georgetown Animal Shelter. -
