WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS! FILL OUT AND TURN IN AN APPLICATION TODAY!Internship Development is proud to offer the opportunity to explore a career field
through a short-term externship for first year and sophomore students. We encourage you to take advantage of the power of networking to start building your
own network of contacts and gaining valuable information that may be useful as you being to think about career options and internships over the next couple of years.
Our Pirate Apprentice Day program is designed to connect you with a SU Pirate Alumna/us to spend a day with them talking about their career field and being part of their day-to-day routine.
TO APPLY To apply for the program, you will need to fill out the application (available at www.southwestern.edu/careers/Pirate_Apprentice/pirate_apprentice.html)
by typing in your information and then printing it off and signing it. You will then need to bring the form by Career Services.
Once you submit your application to Career Services, you will be required to submit the remaining application materials (resume and faculty recommendation-form available at
www.southwestern.edu/careers/Students/Resources/Handouts/handouts.html).
In addition, all applicants will be asked to participate in a 15-minute professional interview.PROGRAM GOALS
Our goal is to connect you with an alumna/us in the area of interest and geographical location you indicate. Please list all available options you have on your application
form, including outside the state of Texas. We will work with you to determine the best option based on the information submitted. COSTS AND EXPECTATIONS
Participants will be responsible for all travel and housing costs, meals for yourself, completion of an evaluation, along with other general professional etiquette
