About the Association The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities
(HACU) was established in 1986 to increase college attendance and graduation rates for Hispanic students. It is the only national organization representing Hispanic-Serving Institutions.Since its
inception, HACU has offered many programs to help students achieve their educational and professional goals. Scholarships, study abroad opportunities, federal and corporate internships, are among the
ways HACU helps students.
About the Program The HACU National Internship Program (HNIP) recruits college students for
paid summer- and semester- long internships and cooperative assignments at federal agencies and private corporations in Washington, D.C., and throughout the country. These ten- and fifteen-week
assignments give college students hands-on experience in a variety of careers in the federal and corporate sectors. **YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A HISPANIC
