Getting to Southwestern Southwestern University is located in Georgetown, Texas – 28 miles north of Austin. FROM IH-35: take Exit 261. Follow Texas Highway 29 (University Ave.) east into Georgetown, approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left at the Maple Street stoplight, the first street after the train tracks. FROM SH-130: take Exit 415. Follow Texas Highway 29 west into Georgetown, approximately 2.4 miles. Turn right at the Maple Street stoplight, the last street before the train tracks. All events are held in the Alma Thomas Theater.   Parking Visitor parking is available on Maple Street, in the parking lot north of Soule Drive, and near the McCombs Campus Center, on McKenzie Drive, east of Maple Street. There is also limited parking on the north side of University Ave., off E. Rutersville.
