SU won the contest 88-71.

February 2, 2012 at 11:00pmAUSTIN, Texas – The battle between the Pirates (0-2) and Tornados (1-0) came down the team that was fortunate enough to have the last at bat and home field advantage. Both teams featured run scoring onslaughts that seemed to turn the momentum almost every inning. The game highlighted productive scoring in all but three frames between the two sides. Concordia took the game into the ninth inning tied and saw Andrew Burns cross the plate to give them the win in their season and home opener.
