About Summer Program

The Upward Bound Summer Programs is a six-week summer program that is held at the Southwestern University Campus. During the program, our Upward Bound Scholars attend academic enrichment classes Monday-Thursday from 8:30- 12:00pm. These classes include, Literature, Science, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Cal, Fundamentals of Writings, Spanish and Fitness & Wellness.

On Fridays, our scholars are given the opportunity to job shadow employees in a variety of fields from different companies such as Google and IBM. Not only do we provide scholars a chance for career exploration but we also give them a chance to experience different cultures and works of art during our Friday work days. Scholars visit a number of exemplary museums in the Austin area.
