Upward Bound (UB) is a program for eligible high school students who want to go to college and are ready to work hard to do so. We offer the following services free of charge to scholars in the program:

  • Tutoring
  • Academic advising
  • Academic enrichment classes in math, science, literature, writing, foreign language and more
  • SAT preparation course 
  • Summer program with college residential week
  • Assistance with college, financial aid & scholarship applications
  • Trips to colleges & cultural events
  • Volunteer & leadership opportunities
  • Senior cultural reward trip to Washington D.C.
  • Parent workshops in English & Spanish
  • A team of professionals who are committed to the success of our scholars
  • A positive and supportive environment where our scholars thrive!

 

UB Scholars Achieve

 

100% of our 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, and 2004 graduates enrolled in college the fall semester immediately following high school graduation. 

85% of our 2012, 2008 & 2005 graduates enrolled in college the fall semester immediately following high school graduation.
