Southwestern University Summer 2009 Information

Pre-registration for Summer 2009 occurs via Web Advisor March 30-April 9 along with that for Fall 2009. Fall advisor approval will also cover summer.

Summer tuition bills will be mailed around April 17, and are due May 1.  Unpaid pre-registration bills may result in student class schedules being cancelled, and seats made available to other students wishing to add.

No Overloads are permitted during any Summer term.  The Maximum Course Load for Summer I (May term) and Summer II (June Term) is 4 hours each (3 hrs. plus 1 hr. of FRA or lab, or one 4-hr. course).

Auditing in Summer is permitted with permission of the instructor and payment of full Summer Term tuition and fees.

Final Exams occur on the last day of class in each Summer Term, unless specified otherwise by the instructor.
Independent Study and Internship courses are placed in Summer III and require both registration and signed contracts!

Summer III     Non-Residential Studies, Summer Study Abroad, and Independent Study, Internships May 13-August 21

A summer session available for special learning opportunities outside the regular classroom, such as academic internships, research projects, the Summer Study Abroad Program, or other academic pursuits within majors that do not conform to the Summer School Calendar above.  Specific dates for the session depend upon individual programs and projects.

Summer 2009 Tuition and Room Charges
Tuition for  Summer 2009 is $450 per semester hour.
Room charges for Summer 2009 are as follows:


Lord and McCombs Centers (2 bedroom):

 $695 per month – per person.

 

$504 per May Term or June Term – per person.

There are no meal plans available.
