Southwestern provides an educational experience that is interdisciplinary, integrative and intentional. We have chosen to call this approach to education “Paideia,” a word the ancient Greeks applied to an approach to education that was holistic in its scope and that prepared students for a life of productive citizenry.

Harvard University Professor and Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar, Barbara J. Grosz will lecture at Southwestern University on “Intelligent Systems: Design and Ethical Challenges” on Thursday, March 30, at 4 p.m. in the F.W. Olin Building, room 110. The event is free and open to the public.
