THE
ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM
Throughout the academic year, an exciting array of artists come for several days
to work with students in master classes and workshops, as well as perform in
concerts and theater productions in Jones and Alma Thomas theaters. Some of the
artists that have visited recently are Ronald Young, sculptor, Emma Amos, painter,
Xiang-Dong Kong, pianist, Eugene Fodor, violinist, David Owen-Bell, London director,
Theodore Arm, violinist and Robert Blocker, pianist and dean of the Yale School
of Music. Guest lecturers have included Maxwell K. Hearn, curator of the Chinese
Galleries at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and William Seale, White House Historian.
