Vincent Lam has served on the piano faculty of Southwestern
University since 2006. He has performed in solo recitals and
chamber concerts at the Chosun University in South Korea, Brigham
Young University and the University of Houston. Dr. Lam has received
numerous prizes and awards, including first prize at the James
Tatem Piano Competition and the fourth prize at Young Keyboard
Artist Association Piano Competition. His teaching experience
includes the faculties of St. Joseph's School of Music in St.
Paul, MN and Holy Mountain Music School in Queens, NY, as well
as a teaching assistantship at the University of Minnesota. Dr.
Lam has served as an adjudicator in the Austin Civic Orchestra's
Pearl Amster Competition. He received the Bachelor of Music degree
from the Manhattan School of Music, the Master of Music from
the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Doctor of Musical Arts
degree from the University of Minnesota. His teachers include
Nina Lelchuk, Philip Kawin and Paul Schenly.
