Eri Lee Lam
Assistant Professor of Music

Eri Lee Lam is Assistant Professor of music at Southwestern University, where she has taught applied violin and chamber music since 2003. Dr. Lam has lectured and performed at the University of Texas in Austin, the American String Teachers' Association national convention, and the Texas Music Educators' Association convention. She has given recent recitals at the University of Houston, Brigham Young University, and Chosun University in South Korea. As a teacher she has served as Sally O'Reilly's assistant at the University of Minnesota, and been on the faculties of the Bravo music festival, the St. Joseph's School of Music in St. Paul, the Santa Fe Suzuki Institute, and Longhorn Music Camp at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Lam has also played chamber music at the Round Top Festival, served as concertmaster in several orchestras and soloed with orchestras, including the San Antonio Symphony. She received the Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Houston, and the Master of Music and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Minnesota. Her teachers included Fredell Lack, Sally O'Reilly and William Dick. In addition, Dr. Lam completed all levels of Suzuki Pedagogy under the instruction of Mark Bjork.
