Bill Dick began his teaching career at the University of Wisconsin/Stevens Point as Instructor of Viola and conductor of the University Symphony. Mr. Dick served as co-editor of the public school column of the American Suzuki Journal and has twice served as an area coordinator for the Suzuki Association of the Americas International Teachers’ Conference. He has also been chair of the violin committee for the Texas University Interscholastic League. He has been named "Music Educator of the Year" by the American String Teachers' Association and "Director of the Year" by the Texas Orchestra Directors' Association, and presented with a "Music of the Heart" Educator Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the Sony Corporation, and the National Coalition for Music Education. He is a registered teacher trainer for the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and is a member of the editorial board of the American String Teacher journal.
