operations, public relations and the marketing of the arts. Student as managers
plan and implement promotional materials, such as press releases, and are liaisons
to the University Relations Office. Students are involved in all aspects of concert
production, artist relations and hospitality. Concert managers also contribute
to the planning of artist-in-residencies and community outreach program. They
assist with the assembling of programs, printing and all marketing materials.
School of Fine Arts newsletters are written and published by the arts management
group every semester. The management team work closely with one another and with
the Dean and faculty. The group learns to develop effective communicative and
management skills in soliciting cooperation among all involved in the production
of fine and performing arts.

One to three credits may be elected each semester, although the number of credits
has no bearing on the workload. The demands of the workload do not change whether
credit or no credit is elected. Upon consultation with instructor, students may
enroll for no credit, but must attend all regularly scheduled meetings. The course
may only be repeated for credit by consent of the instructor.
