ART STUDIO FACILITIES

The 2-D studios are located in the Alma Thomas Fine Arts Center. New painting and drawing studios, as well as, a large art gallery constructed in 1999. The painting studios have north light and individual student working spaces. The art gallery connects with a large outdoor sculpture courtyard. The Fine Arts Center includes architecture, design, drawing, painting, printmaking, and photography studios. The computer

graphics lab is located in the new Olin building. The sculpture studios include facilities for metal fabrication, forge work, wood fabrication, pneumatic stone and wood carving, mixed media, clay, installation work, and a state of the art wood shop. There are also individual work spaces for students.
The ceramic facility includes a glaze lab, kiln room, clay mixing room, and studios. There are 6 kilns available to students including reduction, salt, raku, and a wood burning kiln. All processes in clay are available to the student in art.
