Dr. Shannon Winnubst

Shannon Winnubst received her PhD from The Pennsylvania State University and her BA from The University of Notre Dame. She primarily teaches and writes about 20th century continental philosophy, focusing on feminist theory, race theory, queer theory, and psychoanalysis. She also has this odd passion for Hegel. In addition to publishing in journals such as Hypatia: A Journal of Feminist Philosophy and Philosophy and Social Criticism, Dr. Winnubst has a book, Queering Freedom, and an edited anthology, Reading Bataille Now, forthcoming from Indiana University Press. When not reading, writing or teaching, she hangs out with her partner and three cats.
