Apogee Telecom (Residential Internet Service)
To meet the increasing student demand for high-speed Internet access, Southwestern University contracts with Apogee Telecom to serve as the Internet Service Provider (ISP) for ResNet. Apogee, a university market specialist, provides similar services to private residence halls and apartments at UT Austin, as its official provider.
Apogee offers three service plans for SU students. The basic plan provides a 64 Kbs connection, comparable to dial-up, at no cost. Students may upgrade to one of Apogee's faster plans which provide enhanced broadband access to the Internet. Material outlining Apogee's services and pricing is included. To ensure that your ResNet service is ready for Fall move-in, you must call Apogee by August 2, toll-free at (877) 276-4339, to register for service.
