On February 5, 2015 Southwestern celebrated the 175th anniversary of the original charter.
Following an organ recital and Chapel service, students, alumni, faculty, staff and community members gathered for a commemorative photo on the mall. A party in the McCombs Campus Center followed and included the announcement of a gift from Margaret S. Odiorne on behalf of her husband Truman J Odiorne ’66. The gift of $5.1 million is one of the largest gifts received by the University as a single transaction.
